About SPC

3 questions

What is SPC Company?

SPC Company (Specialty Products and Components) is a distributor-first supply partner for compressed air and pneumatic automation. SPC connects manufacturer lines with the distributors who bring their products to market, helping those distributors expand their offering, streamline sourcing, and serve their customers better.

How long has SPC been in business?

SPC was founded in 1999, starting as a master distributor of pneumatic fittings. Since then, SPC has expanded into compressed air systems and pneumatic automation, building a focused product portfolio and a network of manufacturer relationships.

Is SPC a US-based company?

Yes. SPC Company is US-based and supplies distributor partners across the country. SPC sources from manufacturer relationships in the US and internationally, then supports those lines through its distribution network.

Who SPC Serves

4 questions

Does SPC sell directly to end-users or the public?

No. SPC is a distributor-first supply partner and works exclusively with distributors. SPC does not sell direct to end-user companies or the general public. If you need an SPC-carried product, contact a distributor in the SPC network.

What types of companies does SPC partner with?

SPC partners with industrial distributors, from small specialty shops to established multi-line distributors, who serve customers in compressed air and pneumatic automation. The SPC model gives these partners product range, technical depth, and supply-chain support to help them grow and compete.

What industries does SPC serve through its distributor network?

Through its distribution partners, SPC products reach a wide range of industries: manufacturing and assembly, food and beverage processing, automotive and transportation, energy and utilities, and electronics and automation. SPC's product range and technical support are built to address the requirements of each.

Can SPC work with OEM accounts?

Yes, on a supported, inbound basis. SPC can support OEM component needs and project-based volume while protecting distributor relationships. If an OEM is already served by an SPC distributor partner, SPC keeps that business with the distributor and supports them.

Products and Systems

8 questions

What product categories does SPC carry?

SPC carries products across the full compressed air and pneumatic automation ecosystem:

  • Pneumatic fittings (push-to-connect, compression, pipe, metal and specialty materials)
  • Tubing and hose (polyurethane, nylon, PTFE, and specialty materials such as FEP, Kynar, DOT-rated, weld-spatter resistant, and static dissipative)
  • Directional control and solenoid valves
  • Cylinders and linear actuators
  • Filter-Regulator-Lubricator (FRL) assemblies
  • Air compressors
  • Compressed air dryers (refrigerated, desiccant/regenerative, deliquescent)
  • Air receiver tanks
  • Compressed air filtration (particulate, coalescing, activated carbon)
  • Piping and air distribution systems (modular piping)
  • Nitrogen generation systems (PSA and membrane)
  • Compressor lubricants and fluids
  • Pneumatic accessories (manifolds, quick couplers, gauges, flow control valves)

How does SPC organize the compressed air system?

SPC structures the compressed air system across eight stages: generation (compressors), treatment (dryers, filters, condensate management), storage (receiver tanks), distribution (piping, fittings, tubing), control (valves, FRLs, regulators), end-use (tools, actuators, equipment), monitoring (gauges, sensors), and service and MRO (lubricants, replacement parts). SPC carries products across all eight, so distributors can source the full system from one partner.

What is the pneumatic automation system?

Pneumatic automation covers the control and motion components that use compressed air to drive industrial machines: directional control valves, cylinders, actuators, fittings, tubing, and accessories. SPC serves every layer, from connection and conveyance (fittings, tubing) through motion and control (valves, cylinders) to monitoring and service.

Does SPC carry nitrogen generation equipment?

Yes. SPC carries on-site nitrogen generation systems as a compressed air system add-on. Available technologies include PSA (pressure swing adsorption) and membrane nitrogen generators for applications that need a dedicated nitrogen supply.

Does SPC carry products for hazardous or explosion-risk environments?

Yes. SPC's range includes components for explosive and hazardous atmospheres, including explosion-proof compressed air dryers and static dissipative tubing suited to ATEX-adjacent environments. Contact the SPC team to discuss specific hazardous-location requirements.

Does SPC carry MRO and service parts for compressed air systems?

Yes. SPC carries compressor lubricants, replacement filters, and maintenance items for compressed air upkeep, including synthetic lubricants with extended drain intervals and NSF H1 food-grade formulations for food and beverage applications.

Does SPC carry modular piping systems for compressed air distribution?

Yes. SPC carries modular compressed air piping for new installations and system upgrades. These systems are an alternative to traditional steel pipe, designed for fast, clean installation in industrial environments.

Does SPC carry custom kitting or pre-assembled components?

Yes. SPC can provide custom-kitted pneumatic sub-assemblies and pre-built component packages, useful for OEM accounts and panel builders that want to cut assembly labor and standardize builds. Ask about custom kitting options when you submit your RFQ.

Quoting and Ordering

5 questions

How do I request a quote?

Submit an RFQ through the Contact / RFQ page on the SPC website. Provide the product types, part numbers (if known), and quantities you need. The SPC team reviews submissions and responds with pricing and availability.

What information should I include in my RFQ for the fastest response?

Include as much of the following as possible:

  • Product type or category
  • Part numbers (if known)
  • Quantities needed
  • Technical specifications (pressure rating, port size, connection type, material)
  • Application context (industry, environment, special requirements)

The more detail you provide, the faster SPC can return an accurate, complete quote.

What are your minimum order quantities?

Minimum order quantities vary by brand and product. SPC has no single site-wide minimum. Where a minimum applies, it is shown at the brand or product level and confirmed on your RFQ. Submit an RFQ with the products you need and SPC will confirm any applicable minimums.

What are your standard lead times?

Lead times vary by brand, stock position, quantity, and product configuration.

  • Some items are available from SPC or manufacturer stock
  • Some lines require factory confirmation before quoting
  • Configured, built-to-order, or project equipment may require a longer quote and production window

Your RFQ response confirms the current availability and lead time for your specific items.

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms depend on account status, product type, order size, and credit approval. SPC confirms applicable terms during account setup or as part of the RFQ response.
